Introduction
The European Space Agency is organising the 1st Advanced Course on Radar Polarimetry, a devoted course on SAR Polarimetry, Polarimetric Interferometry and its applications.
The Advanced Course on Radar Polarimetry will be hosted in ESRIN, Frascati, Italy on 17-21 January 2011.
PhD students from European countries and Canada, interested in Radar polarimetry, are invited to attend the in subject 5 day training course. *
Objectives
The main objectives of the course are to:
-
Train the next generation of European Principal Investigators (PIs)
-
Explain theoretical principles, processing algorithms, data products and their use in applications
-
Introduce available tools and methods for the exploitation of ESA and other Dual-Pol and Full-Pol spaceborne data
-
Provide first-hand and up-to-date information on the state of the art in Radar Polarimetry and Polarimetric SAR Interferometry
