China. The first of such courses was held in 2004 and 2007 on ocean applications, 2008 on land applications, another course in 2009 on atmospheric applications and in 2010 a course a course was held on land remote sensing.

* APPLICATION IS CLOSED *

In 2011 58 PhD students, post-doctoral and research scientists from P.R. China and other Asian countries interested in ocean remote sensing applications attended this advanced training course.

The objectives of this advanced Dragon training course were:

  • To stimulate and support the exploitation of ESA, TPM and Chinese EO data for ocean applications
  • Introduce available software tools and methods for the exploitation of ERS, Envisat, TPM and Explorer mission satellite data

The course was hosted by the State Key Laboratory of Estuarine and Coastal Research, East China Normal University, Shanghai, P.R. China.
