MERIS Level3 demonstration products

• MERIS level 2 products have been processed with MEGS 7.4 and IPF version 5 and higher
• MERIS level 3 products are referenced on a 9 km global sinusoidal grid

Specific information concerning the MGVI level-3 products:

• MERIS level 3 products have been generated on G-POD using MGVIL3 3.2 (JRC).
• Product format description (PDF file) and Theoretical Basis Document (PDF file)
• History of the modifications is available here.

Specific information concerning all other MERIS level-3 products:

• The products are also generated daily on a 4.6 km resolution grid a few days after acquisition. Please access the yearly repositories from the table below (in green), or via
  http://envisat.esa.int/ml3/
  Data are to be found under the subdirectories:
  <type>/<year>/daily
• MERIS level 3 products have been generated on G-POD using MKL3 3.0 (Acri) and BEAM-L3 3.3 (Brockmann-Consult)
• Products format and algorithm description (PDF file).
• A specific netCDF-ASCII conversion tool "l3_nc_dump" is available (linux binary and source code)
• BEAM 3.6 can read the products (see here)
