Maéva DORON (scholarship in Ecole Polytechnique, ENGREF and University of Paris 6, France) did her PhD in marine optics and remote sensing in the Laboratoire d'Océanographie de Villefranche. Her research interests were focusing on the use of ocean color data for coastal turbid areas and the estimation of the light penetration or transparency of the water column. She is currently a postdoc in LEGI (ESA-funded project ASSOCO), on data assimilation of remotely sensed ocean color in 3D coupled physical-biogeochemical models. Her research interests target the reduction of the uncertainty in the parameterisation of the biogeochemical model with stochastic methods.
